Yesterday, the ZUPTI team had the pleasure of attending Gaming Istanbul 2024, one of the biggest gaming events in Turkey! As a new indie game development studio based in Istanbul, it was our first time at the fair, and it was an exciting opportunity to connect with other passionate game developers in the industry.
The event, while smaller than we expected, had a strong indie developer presence. We met many like-minded creators who share the same love for building unique and captivating games. It was inspiring to play their games, discuss development challenges, and share ideas. The indie community is always supportive, and we left feeling more motivated than ever to continue building our own game, Save The Village.
The highlight of our visit? Connecting with other developers and getting a firsthand look at the creativity within the indie scene! We even took a couple of photos to capture the moment—one is a selfie of the two of us, and the other shows a ZUPTI team member engrossed in playing one of the titles on display.
Despite the event having fewer companies and indie developers than anticipated, it was an invaluable experience for ZUPTI. We had a blast exploring new ideas, making connections, and most importantly, enjoying the shared passion for game development.
We’re looking forward to seeing how the Turkish game industry grows, and we can’t wait to participate in future events like Gaming Istanbul!
